Put it on your home screen
Checking in should take one tap. Installing My Signal Vault gives it its own icon, opens without browser chrome, and can send you a reminder even when it is closed.
iPhone and iPad
- Open this site in Safari. On iOS 16.4 or later, Chrome and Edge can add it from their Share menu too.
- Tap the Share button. On iOS 26, tap the three dots beside the address bar first, then Share.
- Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen. If it is not there, tap View More.
- Leave Open as Web App switched on, then tap Add. Sign in once when you first open it.
Android
- Open this site in Chrome.
- Tap the three dot menu in the top right.
- Choose Add to home screen, or Install app on some versions.
- If asked, choose Install rather than a shortcut, then confirm. Chrome may also offer this in a bar at the bottom of the screen.
Desktop
- Open this site in Chrome or Edge.
- Look for the install icon at the right of the address bar, or the install option in the browser menu.
- Click it and confirm. The app opens in its own window.
After installing
Open the installed app, go to the notifications page and turn on browser notifications for that device. Check in reminders then arrive on your phone at 75 and 90 percent of each vault interval, alongside the email. On iPhone and iPad this only works from the home screen icon, on iOS 16.4 or later.
The check in button in the top bar resets every armed vault at once, so answering a reminder is a single tap from the home screen.
