Set your timezone
Your timezone controls every date and time shown to you, including vault deadlines and your audit log. Set it once and it follows you between devices.

What it controls
Every date and time the site shows you: vault deadlines, the times on your dashboard, every row of your audit log and the timestamps in a CSV export. Times are rendered in your chosen zone, not the zone of the device in your hand, so an audit log read from a hotel laptop in another country still shows the times you recognise.
What it does not control
Any of the timing. Intervals are measured in elapsed seconds, so a 30 day vault runs for 30 days wherever you are and whatever the setting says. Changing your timezone changes how deadlines are displayed, never when they happen.
Daylight saving is handled for you, because the zone is stored as a proper region such as Australia/Brisbane rather than a fixed offset. Clocks changing does not shift any deadline.
If the times look wrong
They are almost always right and set to a zone you chose earlier, or left at the default. Open Profile and check. The audit log also names the zone it is using at the top of the list, which is the quickest way to confirm what it thinks you are in.
When you move
Update it when you move somewhere permanently. For a two week trip, leave it alone: seeing deadlines in your home time is usually less confusing than watching them shift around, and it makes no difference to when anything fires.
