Vault statuses: armed, paused and delivered
What each status means, what can be done in each one, and which ones count against your plan limit.
Armed
A countdown is running and the deadline is shown on the vault. Reminders go out at 75 and 90 percent. If the deadline passes, it delivers. You can check in, edit it, pause it or delete it.
Counts against your plan's active vault limit.
Paused
No clock, no reminders, no possibility of delivery. The vault keeps its message, recipient, attachments and interval, ready for whenever you arm it again. Arming restarts the countdown from the full interval.
Does not count against your limit, so you can keep as many paused drafts as you like on any plan.
Delivered
The vault has fired. The email went to the recipient, you were notified, and the event is in your audit log. This status is final: it cannot be armed, paused, reset or re-sent. It remains in your account as a record of what was sent and when.

Why the limit only counts armed vaults
The limit exists because an armed vault is work: a clock the scheduler checks, reminders to send, and a delivery to make. A paused draft costs nothing, so a Free account can hold a dozen drafts and arm whichever one matters this month.
What if I hit the limit?
Arming is refused with a message telling you which limit you have reached. Pause a vault you are no longer relying on, or move up a plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing already armed is affected.
